Yurt Village Hospitality Host

POSITION TITLE: Hospitality Host – We are looking for hosts with outgoing personalities to work at our Yurt Village as part of a fun team.

REPORTS TO: Site Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Your role as a host is to have excellent customer service skills, an eye for detail. You are able to self motivate and be part of the team in our family business. We work hard and make sure that we enjoy ourselves once the job is done. This is very much a lifestyle and the right applicant will love the space we have created as much as we do. The most important thing is that our customers are able to truly relax and enjoy themselves in a chilled out space filled with creature comforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You are a valued member of the Elessar team and each member’s role impacts upon another, with this in mind it is your duty to fulfil your roles and responsibilities.


Duties:

  • Cleaning communal areas to a high standard.
  • Greeting and showing round new guests and ensuring that their needs are met throughout their stay.
  • Lighting and tending to individual yurt burners and communal fires.
  • Delivering food hampers onsite.
  • Providing tea and coffee to guests from our onsite catering kiosk.
  • Helping with the logistics of events, weddings and corporate away days, liaising with site and cleaning supervisor
  • Help with transportation of customers luggage and items around the site via quad bike.
  • Assist with any maintenance, logistics or customer issues that come up at any time and in all weather.


Your skills:

  • You will be an enthusiastic, self starter who gets the job done without the need for constant prompting.
  • You will have an eye for detail and a pride in ensuring that cleaning and maintenance is done well and to a high standard.
  • You will be friendly, approachable and willing to help customers and management to ensure that the Elessar Events experience is amazing for everyone.
  • You will be happy dealing with large groups, families and weddings.
  • You will be punctual, reliable and honest.
  • You will be prepared for physical, outdoor work in all weathers. This is a hands on role.
  • You may have an interest in sustainable, off grid living.
  • You will be required to take care of the village guests and work independently.


PREREQUISITES/ REQUIREMENTS:
Full UK Driving licence

EDUCATION: N/A EXPERIENCE: Hospitality, Event Management, Customer Service and Catering would be advantageous.

POSITION DATES: This is a seasonal job working shifts and sleepovers between March and November.

Yurt Village Cleaning Team

POSITION TITLE: Cleaning Team – We are looking for a key member of staff that enjoys working outdoors no matter what the weather to manage our laundry allocations and cleaning team for the glamping site.

REPORTS TO: Cleaning Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: Keep all Accommodation Yurts and public facilities (such as Communal areas (Home Yurt, Treehouse Kitchen, Toilet and shower block) Reception and Office in a neat and clean condition.

As part of the cleaning Team you promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: You are a valued member of the Elessar team and each member’s role impacts upon another, with this in mind it is your duty to fulfil your roles and responsibilities.

Duties:

  • Cleans yurts, porches, toilets and communal areas.
  • Cleans and maintains treehouse kitchen and Home Yurt.
  • Hoover carpets.
  • Empties ashtrays.
  • Cleaning the outside area including BBQ’s and wood burning stoves.
  • Polishes furniture and fixtures.
  • Emptying bins.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo as required.
  • Washes walls and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture, and turns mattresses.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
  • Dust and polishes metal work.
  • Collects soiled linen supplies and place in linen bins.
  • Maintains housekeeping cleaning kit.
  • Removes rubbish collected from yurts
  • To attend briefings for events.
  • To clean and maintain all equipment daily.
  • To follow up a special cleaning schedule given by the cleaning supervisor.
  • To report maintenance to the cleaning supervisor immediately.
  • To comply with the Lost and Found Policy of the Yurt Village.
  • To assist Guests in Public Areas when required.
  • To have good knowledge of all Yurt Village facilities, hours of operation and upcoming events.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory in the cleaning shed.
  • Post caution signs as and when required.
  • Responsible for following departmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment which he is using i.e., Vacuum cleaner, trolleys etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining a time schedule for cleaning their areas.
  • Responsible for spring cleaning of their area as per the schedule is given to them.


PREREQUISITES/ REQUIREMENTS:
Physical mobility and stamina required, Ability to follow instruction, Detail-oriented, Professional attitude is required, Ability to work independently.

Full UK Driving Licence Essential, Ideally, you will live within an easily commutable distance from the site, as we are in a rural location you must have access to a car.

EDUCATION: N/A

EXPERIENCE: Previous hotel-related experience desired.

POSITION DATES: We are a seasonal business so employment will be from March until the end of October.

The Role:

As an Events and Reservations Manager at Elessar Events, you will play a pivotal role in growing our glamping, weddings and events sector, ensuring each guest’s experience is unforgettable. Working closely with our close-knit team, you will embody our ethos of community and sustainability, while bringing innovation and excellence to our event planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

– Marketing:

  – Identify strategies to expand our glamping weddings and events business.

  – Manage online presence, ensuring accuracy and engagement across all platforms.

  – Gather and analyse customer feedback to enhance our offerings.

  – Produce captivating content for social media to showcase our unique experiences.

– Sales:

  – Enhance and streamline booking processes to maximise revenue.

  – Engage with potential clients, selling our venue and packages effectively.

  – Achieve and surpass sales targets.

– Enquiries:

  – Independently manage enquiries, providing timely and tailored responses.

  – Prepare detailed quotations and coordinate bookings from start to finish.

– Show Rounds:

  – Conduct site tours, showcasing our facilities to prospective clients.

– Event Organisation:

  – Maintain meticulous records and liaise with suppliers.

  – Ensure seamless communication with clients and the operational team for event execution.

– On the Day:

  – Oversee the smooth running of events, acting as the primary point of contact.

  – Ensure our team delivers service that exceeds guest expectations.

– Post Event:

  – Conduct follow-ups to assess satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
