Giving them the chance to make a difference and to show them that their small contribution is oh so valuable is something we hope you will enjoy doing when you stay with us.

As an award-winning sustainable venue, we pride ourselves on keeping waste to a minimum and ensure that the long-term impact we and our guests make is kept to a minimum. That is one of the reasons why we pack away for 3-4 months every year. To give everything a little rest and to allow the environment to replenish itself. We take a month to set up the site, just as the daffodils are starting to wave their merry yellow heads. As each tent is built, from the bare earth to a cosy, warm space ready for visitors, its like we are a beautiful tree coming awake from its winter slumber, ready to sustain new life, grow and become a temporary home to many once again.
We are huge fans of any project that tries to change perceptions of how much we consume and waste so are very pleased this year to be supporting the ?Big Spring Beach Cleanup? organised by Surfers against sewage and now in its 8th year.
The official event is being held between 7th-15th April, right in the middle of the Easter break but enthusiastic teams are already on the ground with a successful meet up on 10th February bringing in 100kgs of rubbish from the otherwise pristine beach.
We are only a few miles from Bosham Harbour, Chichester Marina and the beautiful beaches of Witterings and Bracklesham. Surfing is popular at the later and it’s a place dear to our hearts as we decamp here after each busy season.
There are so many opportunities to enjoy the water and the beaches nearby. Kite Surfing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, walks and good old sandcastle building. We want to help ensure that the landscape is unpolluted and usable for the next generation and believe that getting them to take ownership of their own future is the best place to start.
After a satisfying day, doing your bit for the community, inspiring your kids and getting some sea air relax in front of a roaring fire with a glass of wine and feel the world put to right.
